About Javelin
Javelin Adokatfirma AS is fully owned by Javelin Corporate Services AS (see jav-corp.com). We provide legal counsel to both private individuals and businesses in a variety of legal segments, with an emphasis on busness law, contract law, companies law, real estate law and dispute resolution.
The company consists of attorney-at-law Hans Gustav Clemetsen. Hans retains the degree Master of Laws from Monash University (Commercial Law, 2004) and obtained the degree cand. jur. from the University of Oslo the same year.
Hans has practiced law since 2005 and possesses extensive experience within the disciplines of business law, real estate law and litigation. For numerous years, Hans has worked with legal matters where law, business and finance intersect. Hans also has comprehensive experience with company management services. In regards to the latter, Hans has held numerous directorships for international PE and VC funds, as well as directorships for Norwegian businesses and real estate entities.
Our primary areas of law
Corporate- / Companies law
Javelin can assist our clients with most corporate- and companies law related matters, including but not limited to advising on the choice of corporate structures, facilitating with the incorporation of limited liability companies and providing counsel in connection with equity and related parties transactions. We also draft shareholder agreements and provide counsel in regards to matters related with the fiduciary obligations of management.
M&A
Javelin can assist with mergers / demergers and the sale and acquisition of businesses, including due-diligence reviews. We have extensive experience with international transactions.
Real Estate law
Javelin can assist with most real estate related matters, including matters in connection with the sale and purchase of real estate, assisting with housing law related matters, builder and construction law, commercial and housing leases, neighbor related matters, liens and matters concerning other rights and obligations connected with real estate.
Business law
We can assist with most business related legal matters, including advise on the statutory framework for doing business in Norway and employment related matters both for employers and employees.
Contract law
Javelin can assist with negotiating and drafting a number of commercial agreements, such as cooperation, joint venture and agency agreements.
Dispute resolution and negotiations
We have comprehensive experience with all forms of negotiations and dispute resolution, including litigation and arbitration.
